Coun. Dean Pappas is once again challenging the community to join him in eating only food produced within 160 kilometres of Peterborough for the next two weeks.
“I want to keep raising awareness in our community about this,” he said. “It’s really important that we think globally but live locally.”
This will be Pappas’ third time doing the 100-mile diet.

Yesterday, Collette created a big thank you with Lakefield Local Harvest — an event held in Isabel Morris Park.
It featured local chefs using local products, and gave local producers a chance to showcase their products before a weekly local farmers’ market is launched next spring.
